Cosmetology
MCHD's cosmetology program provides you with the advances skills, credentials and freedom to do just about anything in the beauty industry. In less than ten months, you'll be qualified to work in all areas of hair, skin and nails.
The cosmetology program consists of 2 phases: pre-clinic and clinic training. During pre-clinic training (hours 1-240), students complete extensive classroom work, practice on mannequins, friends, family, and demonstrate competency by passing weekly written exams. During the clinic phase (hours 241-1550), studens rotate between the clinic and the classroom, practicing on real clients and learning advanced theory.
Career Opportunities: Stylist, color technician, chemical technician, esthetician, manicurist, platform artist, film artist, sales representative, salon manager or owner, school manager or owner, educator.
Nail Technology
If you love beautiful nails and want to help others have exceptional hands, nails & feet, MCHD's nail technology program is just for you. In just two short months, you can have a fun, exciting new career in nail technology.
The program is divided into 2 phases: pre-clinic and clinic training. During pre-clinic training (hours 1-50), students complete classroom work, practice on friends or family, and demonstrate competency by passing weekly written and practical exams. During the clinic phase (hours 50-350), the student rotates between the clinic and the classroom every week practicing on real clients and learning advanced theory.
There will be planned clinical instruction and experience of 150 hours in applied sciences and 150 hours in applied skills. Each student will be required to complete at least 50 manicures/pedicures, including at least 10 applications of artificial nails, of which 3 will be sculptured application on the nail.

Esthiology
Immerse in MCHD's esthiology program and launch your career in four short months.
The program consists of 2 phases: pre-clinic and clinic training. During pre-clinic training (hours 1-120), students complete classroom work, practice on friends or family, and demonstrate competency by passing weekly written and practical exams. During the clinic phase (hours 121-600), the student rotates between the clinic and the classroom every week practicing on real clients and learning advanced theory.
There will be planned clinical instruction and experience of 200 hours in applied sciences. Each student will be required to complete at least 60 facials and makeup applications.

Certifications:
Students who complete all of the program requirements will be awarded a diploma.
