Missouri College of Cosmetology is committed to instilling in our students the basic knowledge of cosmetology arts and sciences and creating pride for the field, therefore being an integral part of furthering the advancement of the field of cosmetology arts and sciences.

Course Outline
COSMETOLOGY WITH MANICURING

The Phase One Basic Training portion of the course is a 1500 hour program of training requiring approximately 9 months at full time and 15 months at part-time. Each of the following units of study will be covered in both theoretical and practical training.

* Course Goals
The course of study is designed to prepare the student to successfully pass the Licensing Exam required by the State Board of Cosmetology in the State of Missouri only, and to offer the student basic entry skills for profitable employment in the field of cosmetology dealing with hair, nails and face.

* Course Format
The Phase One portion of the course will be primarily all classroom study, in theory and practice of basic skills

INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

The Instructor Training Course of study is a 600 hour program of training, requiring approximately 4 months of full-time attendance, or approximately 6.25 months at a part- time attendance. Each of the following units of study will be covered in both theoretical and practical training.

The course of study is designed to prepare the student to successfully pass the Licensing Exam required by the State Board of Cosmetology in the State of Missouri only, and to offer the student basic entry skills for profitable employment in the field of cosmetology instructor dealing with hair, nails and face.

Course Format
The Basic Training portion of the course will be primarily all classroom study, in theory and practice of basic skills necessary to train in the clinic floor setting.

The Advanced Theory and Clinic Training portion of the course consists primarily the development of all necessary pratical skills, supplemented with classroom lectures, demonstrations, tests and review in all subject areas teaching methods.

Educational Objectives
The Instructor Training Course will prepare the student for employment opportunities as a Cosmetology Instructor, School Director/Administrator, School Owner/ Manager.

ESTHETICS

A 750 hour program of training requiring approximately 30 weeks or approximately 7.5 months for part time attendance. Each of the following units of study will be covered in both theory and practical training, available at Missouri College of Cosmetology South, only. The Esthetics Course will prepare the student for employment as an esthetician.
