Managing Cosmetology - 1800 hours
50 weeks FT- 82 weeks PT
This program is a combination of the Basic Cosmetology and Managers Programs. Upon completion and licensing, the “combo” program graduate may choose to become an independent contractor, a salon owner and even a School owner. Career preparation with this program will allow the graduate to be employed with or without supervision, which may allow for more flexible scheduling and wider employment opportunities.
Basic Cosmetology - 1500 hours
41 weeks FT – 69 weeks PT
This comprehensive program includes the study and theory of cosmetology laws and rules, sterilization, sanitation and bacteriology. Up-to-date procedures taught include the areas of hair design, color, cutting, styling and chemistry. Make-up artistry, skin care, facials, waxing, full body, neck and scalp massage are included in the program as well. Care of nails along with polish techniques and artificial nail applications are included. Personal development, salon record keeping and dispensary requirements are taught in theory and practice in this entry-level program.
Managers Training - 300 hours
weeks FT – 13 weeks PT
Independent contractors, management and ownership subjects cover financing, insurance, personnel, record keeping, costs, inventory, advertising and merchandising.Specialized and advanced cosmetology techniques are taught in theory and practice such as advanced color and advanced cutting.Corrective techniques will also be included in this program.The school recommends Manager Training as a continuation of the Basic Cosmetology Program.
Managing Manicuring - 300 hours
9 weeks FT – 13 weeks PT
This program features procedure and practice required for the Basic Manicuring license as well as the Manager’s license. The course includes sculptured nail application, design, care and practice. Basic nail technology curriculum of plain and oil manicures, pedicure procedures, hand and arm massage is taught. Also included in this program are management subjects such as record keeping, insurance, inventory, financing, personnel, costs, advertising and merchandising.
Managing Hair Design - 1440 hours
39 weeks – 62 weeks PT
This program includes all elements of the managing cosmetology program except course content in skin and nail care.
Basic Hair Design - 1200 hours
33 weeks FT – 55 weeks PT
This program includes all elements of the scope of practice of basic cosmetology program except course content in skin, massage and nail.
